Fall is in the air . . .
With Fall comes the resumption of school. Whether it's elementary, middle, high school, or college -- classes generally resume for students everywhere in September. No different for me! Every year for the last 8 out of about 10, I've gone back to school for a quarter to update my web-design knowledge and skills. It just seems like the right thing to do. It's been 16 years since I graduated with my web & multimedia authoring degree, so I've been focused on updating my skills for the last decade. And web standards keep changing!
I'm working on an updated web-design digital diploma from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh online division.
Classes I've taken so far toward my updated degree are a follows, starting with most recent:
- Fundamentals of the Internet
- User-Centered Information Design
- Typography
- Fundamentals of Design
- Screen Design and Graphics
- Color Theory for Print
- Design Principles
- Image Manipulation
- Applications & Industry
